1 1/2 hr Sketch

It's been a while i haven't been doing sketches on my WACOM tablet. I managed to steal some free time off work (feeling a lil bored as well) and done up a quick sketch on my tablet. And the turnout was pretty good I must say, having bought this tablet for a little less than a hundred dollars - it served it's purpose. Behold my artwork... Nude Lady in Red.

Unique eCommerce Shopper Habit

We had a Japanese client over for a meeting on an e-commerce project that we're engaging in at the moment. We learnt something new the Japanese e-Shoppers out there that we didn't know till we were told.

While the most of us would just google, click and buy. We wouldn't careless to find out more about the item in which the product's company in which it originated from. Cos I guess most of the time we know what we want and from whom we're getting it from. Well maybe perhaps we will at some degree click on the "about us" section and run through the blah, blah, blah section (which is there for the good-o-formality sake).

So what is trully unique about these Japanese eCommerce sites that stunned me? Well I was trully robbed on the usability of the site itself. These sites would actually have a whole chunk of their company's info, history, and background before you scroll all the way down the actual product itself. It ASTOUNDS me. Imagine clicking on a product that you would want to buy but instead of getting to the product you'll be fed with tonnes of info about the company of that product. And you could only get to the checkout button at the bottom of the page. Here's an example. Sites like these seemed pretty much normal for Japanese buyers online. Seems like they'll be really interested in knowing A-Z about the product all on one single page all by "toilet-scrolling". Scrolling seemed to be a natural habit of a Japanese buyer as I learnt from our client. Another "shocking super scroller site" (gosh try saying that twice as fast over and over again) demonstrates the all in one page.

It's really interesting on how they shop as compared to how we normally shop. Whilst we normally dread the "indexercise" on the mouse-wheel (no pun intended), our dear friends in Japan find it rather convenient to get the whole load of info in one toilet page sroll.

The Million Blog List

Happen to stumble upon this Million Blog List Wiki. It is said that there are over 70,000,000 blogs in existence. This is an experiment to see how long it will take to get 1,000,000 blogs to list themselves on our site. Will it work? They think so. The experiment is to see how long will it take.

Well mine happen to be #1766 of the millions. I've indicated it on the sidebar of my blog. Perhaps you would like to take part in this experiment too. Here.
